The CS6000i from Brother is a 60 stitch computerized free arm sewing machine with multiple stitch functions. The machine features an LCD display for computerized stitch selection. The built in stitches include utility stithces for mending and garment construction, decorative stitches, heirloom stitches and quilting stitches. This machine has a one step automatic buttonholer with 7 styles of auto-size buttonholes built-in. The machine also has built-in super-wide 7mm zigzag and decorative stitches. The CS6000i is easy to thread with the automatic needle threader and our one-step quick set drop-in bobbin. Included with this machine are accessories for zipper insertion, darning, twin needle stitching, quilting, as well as an oversized accessory table to increase your sewing area for large projects and quilting. The quilting feet include a walking foot for accurate stitching of slippery fabrics or multiple layers as well as a quilt guide for precise evenly spaced quilt lines. The CS6000i also has a drop feed so you can create free-form or traditional quilt patterns. The machine can be operated without a foot control using the built-in one-touch start/stop and reverse features. You can also choose your most comfortable sewing speed with the electronic speed control. Accessories are included for quilting, zipper insertion, darning, twin needle stitching, buttonholes and button sewing. I must admit, I had not sewn anything in YEARS before purchasing this sewing machine. The manual is fantastic! I was able to follow all of the directions to set up my machine, perfectly. It is amazingly easy to use, even if you have little experience with a sewing machine. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The low price is just a plus to an already fantastic package. If you are hesitant on what machine to get, and if you were like me and haven't sewn in a long time, this is the machine to buy! I could go on and on, but simply put, this is the machine to buy. |

I did not purchase this from Mychildrensstore.co.uk, but from Best Buys website after doing a lot of research. This machine is BEAUTIFUL. It has an automatic threader, that you must treat with care or otherwise will bend (which I did, but that was completely operator error), the bobbin winder is fast, the entire thing is a godsend. I'm teaching myself to sew and the manual that comes with the sewing machine not only teaches you the correct terminology for all the included accessories, but techniques like gathering, smocking, and the proper needles to use with specific fabrics. The included accessories make this sewing machine an even greater buy. Really, all you need is an idea and some fabric. It is powerful, (I've smashed my finger under the presser foot once trying to sew something I could not sew)and fast when put on the highest setting. It truly is a joy to use. I would recommend this for anyone looking for another sewing machine or for a beginner. Can't wait til I bust out some real apparel with this bad boy!!! |

I love this sewing machine! I hadn't sewn in nearly 20 years and recently my husband purchased this machine for my daughters and I. I love it. It is so incredibly simple to use, even after so many years of not using a sewing machine. I started out simple making myself some valance curtains for my family room. They turned out great. I recommend this machine - at the price here on amazon it cannot be beat! |

great machine horrible service |
We ordered two of these machines and while the one is great, the other has a stuck pedal. I phoned brother who told me I would have to take it to a local service center. I asked could I buy a pedal and they said they had no interest in anything but warranty work. It ends up that is 2.5 hours away. I phoned them and they told us to ship the entire machine. I told them the machine works great because I can use the other pedal on it, but the pedal sticks. They said it doesn't matter, to ship the whole machine. I said could I not buy a different pedal, but they said no way can they work on a pedal without the machine. I could buy another machine for the cost of shipping this there and back. Very rude to work with and I was not happy! Don't know why brother doesn't have centers more places.
